FIAC is in its 47th edition and was due to take place at the Grand Palais on 22-25 October. ‘This decision [to cancel] is the result of ongoing dialogue between the fair organizers and exhibitors, collectors, visitors and partners over these past weeks,’ FIAC wrote on Instagram.
‘Despite our best efforts and profound determination to hold FIAC in 2020, we feel that we are not in a position to produce an event that meets the expectations and ambitions of our exhibitors and public.’
Organisers promise to return in 2021 with a ‘renewed’ edition at the Grand Palais Éphémère – a temporary spot close to the Eiffel Tower, which will replace the Grand Palais as it undergoes renovations.
