The 1908 station serviced passengers on the Lehigh Valley Railroad express, known as the ‘Black Diamond’, and operated until 1959. Its owners have preserved many of its original features, including the old ticket counter, and monogrammed windows and Dutch doors bearing the initials, ‘BD’.

The two-bedroom New York property at 2 Lehigh Street – for sale via Irene Bennett of Howard Hanna Real Estate Services – is set over two storeys, and covers 2,806 sq ft.

Its former waiting room and station master’s office is currently used as business space, and old platform is now a porch for the property, which comes with 0.91 acres of land.

Living accommodation comprises a combined living room, kitchen and dining area which have soaring timber trussed ceilings. A staircase leads to the upper gallery, overlooking the space, where there’s a cosy snug.
