French fashion house Givenchy took to a hillside above Florence to commandeer the rose gardens of Villa Palmieri for its SS20 Men’s Show yesterday at Pitti Uomo.
The estate – which was said to be a favourite of Queen Victoria and its Italian, French and English gardens the inspiration for Boccaccio’s Decameron – is described by Givenchy as ‘an unseen Florentine treasure.’

Guests were seated beneath rose pergolas along manicured pathways through the gardens as models trickled past wearing pieces inspired by Seoul streetwear. The spectacle was Clare Waight Keller’s first standalone menswear show for the fashion house, and it ended with a spectacular garden party.
