Classic A-frame beach cabin hits the market in Oregon for $315k

A 1960s A-frame holiday home has come up for sale on the shores of Neskowin, Oregon.

The beach cabin – listed with Rob Trost Real Estate for $315k – features a fully glazed end, offering views out across the water.

A-frame cabins were a typical midcentury modern style which became so popular that Macy’s even sold a prefab kit especially for holiday homes. Their pitched roofs make the most of their modest footprints, which in this case spans 795-square-feet.

The Oregon property includes a central living space with a vintage fireplace, and an extra lounge placed on a mezzanine level in the roof’s peak.

Interiors feature original wood panelling and exposed beams, and there’s a small kitchen and bathroom tucked into the building’s sloping walls.

The cabin hovers above the surrounding landscape on stilts. A wooden deck wraps around the building, giving would-be owners plenty of space for beachside BBQ-ing. It’s set in a gated neighbourhood a short drive from Neskowin’s restaurants and market.
