Instagram has revealed its end of year hot lists – including ‘the most Instagrammed museum’ in the world in 2017…
New York and London institutions claimed multiple spots in the photo-sharing app’s top 10 global museums list, but pole position went to Paris’ Louvre. It pushed the Big Apple’s Metropolitan Museum of Art and Museum of Modern Art into second and third place respectively.
The Los Angeles County Museum of Art and British Museum rounded off the top 5, with all 10 top-ranking international institutes located in the US, UK and France.
But what about the ‘most instagrammed city’ of 2017? That honour went to New York, which beat London, Moscow and Sao Paulo in the most-snapped stakes.
Anaheim’s Disneyland topped the ‘most instagrammed locations’ category. And not only did it pip New York’s Times Square and Central Park to the post, it outstripped the Louvre too.
In fact, people can’t seem to get enough of Walt’s magic – four Disney locations across the world made the top 10. See the full lists below.
