Virgil Abloh sent his models wandering through a village fete for his third menswear collection for Louis Vuitton at Paris’ Place Dauphine.
Scattered with crêpe stands, ice cream stalls, balloon vendors and a bright red inflatable house, the atmosphere was youthful and fun, as echoed in statement pieces such as flowered harnesses, printed maxi skirts and inflatable nylon bags, and the model line-up which included musician Dev Hynes and skateboarder Evan Mock.
The show was produced by French agency La Mode en Images, who ensured that the house’s monogram was everywhere to be seen, from the kites handed out on entry and the ashtrays on the tables lining the catwalk, to a vast LV over the entrance to the inflatable house.
