The vintage caravan features a curved aluminium panelled ‘trolley top’ roof that will need replacing. Wood-panelled interiors will also need fixing and repairing, but the trailer is priced to reflect this at $3,000 via Oregon-based restoration specialists Flyte Camp.
The Palace Royal is known for its curved silhouette and port-hole window front door, which sadly is missing on this model of the mobile home. But blog Mobile Home Living featured a restored 1949 model a few years ago in mint green which should provide some inspiration for would-be buyers.
