The one-room B&B is set in the depths of the Swedish countryside

TypeO Loft is a slow-living retreat designed to reduce stress

Social distancing won’t be an issue at this secluded Skåne farm, which offers a serene countryside escape in its TypeO Loft.

TypeO is the studio of creatives Micha van Dinther and Magnus Wittbjer. They’ve conceived the loft as a place to retreat from busy, everyday life, within in the rolling hills of a picturesque 170-year-old farmstead. And while there’s wi-fi available if guests can’t bear to disconnect, every part of the space has been designed to showcase the landscape and encourage inhabitants to slow down.

Floor-to-ceiling windows look out over the waving grasslands and forest surrounding TypeO Loft, which has an outdoor terrace where guests can enjoy a breakfast of locally produced yogurt, cold cuts, cheese, and oven-fresh bread in the morning.

The interiors have been carefully laid out to reduce stress, emphasizing clean lines and functional pieces – many of which are available to buy. Guests can make the most of a ‘farm-to-fork’ delivery service, bringing Skåne-grown ingredients to the door, ready to be cooked. After all, the region is known as ‘Sweden’s pantry’.

TypeO is located 50 kilometres outside of Malmö, with a two-night stay beginning at €280.
