Lloyd Wright’s Spanish Colonial style Calori House has listed in Southern California’s Glendale after a top-to-toe restoration.

The white-washed Californian property was built in 1926 for Dr E E Calori by Lloyd Wright (the son of Frank Lloyd Wright) and has been off and on the market through the ensuing decades. As it exchanged hands, it gradually fell into disrepair before being given spruce by its current owners who’ve polished its listed bones.

An Art Deco detailed boxed staircase leads into Calori House – on the market via Crosby Doe Associates for $1.695m – whose rooms feature groin and barrel-vaulted ceilings and wrought iron lighting fixtures. The living room, kitchen and dining room are on the ground floor and have access to the garden, and a magnesite staircase, lit by stained glass, leads up to two bedrooms.
