This minimal cabin is one of a growing cluster of retreats designed by Cadaval & Solà-Morales architects and buried in the Mexican wilderness.
LMM Bungalow’s two glazed boxes – encased in a concrete frame – look out across a lush valley close to the small town of Tepoztlán, a short drive from Mexico City. One volume features living quarters while the other houses sleeping areas. The nook between the twin structures will eventually become filled with plantlife.

Strict planning rules in the local area dictated a building that would ‘minimise its visual impact on the landscape’. Cadaval & Solà-Morales’ design is suitably subtle and acts as a ‘temporary shelter’ for up to four guests.

It can be rented via Airbnb.
