Church buildings inspired the lofty volumes of this home in Malmö, Sweden.
Stockholm-based practice Gustav Hultman Studio echoed the pitched roofs of religious buildings, creating a triple-height ceiling in the living room that rises 8.5m high.
An open fireplace has been built into a pillar in the space, which has oak parquet flooring and wooden framed windows. A sweeping wooden staircase leads up to the bedrooms.

Most of the interior is clad in timber, from the walls to the ceilings, which gives the property a cosy cabin-like feeling despite its volume.
The kitchen – which is open to the living space – is tucked to the left of the stairs and above it is a mezzanine level which looks down over the space below. Three bedrooms and a spacious roof terrace with wooden decking fold off the upper level, with a large studio space on the floor above.
Spanning three-storeys, the five-bedroom property is on the market for 12.3 million SEK via Bo Laget.
