Located in New York’s newly opened Fotografiska museum, Verōnika blends influences from across history for its lavish interiors.
It’s hard to pinpoint exactly what era the museum’s restaurant belongs in, and according to Roman and Williams, the studio that designed it, that’s entirely on purpose.

The duo has gone all-in on the detail, installing reclaimed stained glass, restoring ornamental plasterwork, and commissioning a hand-painted forest mural.

Velvet armchairs, brass chandeliers and marble tabletops all add to the feeling of grandeur. The restaurant sits on the second floor of the museum – located in New York’s historic Church Missions House – which opened late last year. Verōnika serves up a menu of eastern European-inspired dishes, which includes pierogi, caviar, and borscht.
