Gucci’s Alessandro Michele ensured all eyes were on Milan today, rigging his mirrored runway with over 120,000 LED lights.
Held at Gucci Hub on via Mecenate – once the Caproni aeronautical factory, now the brand’s 35,000m2 headquarters – the AW19 collection featured male and female models striding down a 100m reflective runway, many of them in coloured masks.

Presented against floor-to-ceiling mirrors and rippling lights, Michele’s collection was a typically eclectic affair, contrasting punk with old school sophistication, block colours and dazzling prints, sharp-shouldered suits and shimmering dresses, fur collars, studded cuffs and flowing cravats.
