Crazy golf is about to get a whole lot crazier when Swingers opens inside a World War II bunker in the City of London next April.

The ‘eat, drink and golf’ concept is moving to the 16,000 sq ft underground space in Brown’s Building – sited near the Gherkin.

‘Crazy golf is part of British culture – there’s a lot of nostalgia attached to it because everyone remembers playing it as a child on holiday,’ co-founder Matt Grech-Smith told the Evening Standard.

Swingers will have two nine-hole courses as well as a 1920s-themed clubhouse and gin terrace overlooking the golfing action. There will also be four bars and three street food stalls, including offerings from London restaurants Pizza Pilgrims and Patty & Bun.

The new permanent spot for Swingers follows the success of its Shoreditch pop-up, which ran from September 2014 to February this year.
