The paint’s barely dry on this cottage in the UK’s Norfolk, which has been completely refurbished by RIBA award-winning architect Carl Turner and turned into a home and studio.

On the market via The Modern House for £875,000, the two-bedroom former farm worker’s cottage overlooks the Salthouse Marshes – a haven for birdlife and designated Area of Natural Beauty on the Norfolk coast – and is set over two levels.

The first floor houses the kitchen (custom designed by Turner) as well as a dining area and a large living room, and features poured concrete floors, bespoke plywood furniture and fittings, and a brick chimney with a wood-burning stove.
