The former Gramercy home of James Turrell has hit the market in New York for $1.95m.
Turrell worked closely with architect Annie Kwon on maximising light in the space, as you’d expect from an artist famed for his multi-sensory light installations – the latest being a Skyroom in the Austrian mountains.
He sold the one-bedroom Manhattan property back in 2014 to its present owners. They have just listed the apartment – which is actually two combined units – via Corcoran Group.
The Manhattan property is located at 26 Gramercy Park South and its living room comes with four tall windows overlooking the park. Marble window sills, Australian Eucalyptus saligna floors and a walnut kitchen complete the space.
