Miuccia Prada tapped OMA’s design arm AMO to build a pair of imaginary piazzas for the Italian brand’s FW20 Menswear show in Milan.
Rem Koolhaas’ studio transformed the Fondazione’s Deposito Hall for the spectacle, which explored the idea of voyeurism and ‘the abstract energy of the public arena,’ says OMA.

Models walked through purple and green geometric runways, crossed by concrete pillars, and presided over by 3D cut-outs of mounted horse riders. Meanwhile, the audience gathered above to watch from a specially constructed platform that ran through the middle of the mirrored stages.
Glowing red doorways provided exits and entrances for the models, who ‘wander[ed] through the space, appearing and disappearing, following invisible trajectories that blur the boundary between the exposed and the concealed.’
