Estonian practice Kodasema is going global – its award-winning prefab KODA homes are now for sale in North and South America, starting from $95,000.
Kodasema is launching its KODA Loft and Loft Extended models for the US market. However, all of the brand’s existing tiny home options (including hybrid houseboat KODA Float and its most popular KODA Concrete models) will eventually be available to order across the Atlantic.
KODA Loft can ship in 16 weeks, with the first modules expected to arrive in New York and California in December 2020. Dwellings will be delivered turn-key, with electrical and water hookups, and owners can customize interiors to include smart-home features, built-in furniture, and amenities.
As with their European counterparts, the micro homes channels the brand’s classic Nordic vibe, emphasising natural light and materials via wooden surfaces and a glass facade. US models will also be energy efficient, though they’ll use different materials and sizes to deal with climatic extremes and meet US building codes.
KODA Loft will be offer 395 sq ft of space, while KODA Loft Extended will clock in at 553 sq ft.
