It’s really happening! I’ve been waiting 195 days, but tomorrow I’ll finally be traveling to another country again. To be honest, I’m excited and a bit nervous at the same time. I’ll be visiting Essen and Duisburg, two cities in Germany’s Ruhr Area not far from the Dutch border. It’s not a destination you see all over Instagram or that I could find lots of blog posts about, which makes it all the more interesting to explore. But if you have any tips, please let me know! About this photo: this is one of the dining rooms at Plantage Rococo where I recently had a little staycation. Every room is so special, look at that cabinet ?. On the mirror it says ‘Slow down, Be good’. It also lists all the delicious cakes they have, which I guess could be your reward for being good…
