Danish design brand Menu has tapped Norm Architects to converted a former Copenhagen boathouse into The Audo – its new hybrid hotel, office, cafe and coworking space.
The multi-use hub is located in the city’s Nordhavn area, in a 101-year-old building that’s been given a top-to-toe renovation in Menu’s signature minimalist style. The showroom’s industrial past still shines through, however, thanks to its concrete flooring and metal ceilings.
Downstairs, visitors can browse furniture from the Danish brand – complemented by artworks by the likes of Benjamin Ewing and Sofia Tufvasson – then deliberate purchases over a coffee or cocktail from the marble bar.
Upstairs is The Audo Residence, which offers 10 rooms decked out in warm, earthy tones, tucked into the attic space of the building.
