Postcards from the Venice launch party for our new book ‘Island’
Musician Kate Tempest debuted her latest work
The architecture crowd descended on the Venetian island of Giudecca last night to celebrate the launch of another ‘Island’: our new book, and the corresponding exhibition at the British Pavilion during the Venice Biennale.
Caruso St John Architects and artist Marcus Taylor – editors of the book and curators of the pavilion – joined the masses in the waterside Giudecca Warehouse. We cohosted the party along with The Store X and the British Council, while our sister brand The Vinyl Factory took charge of the music.
Poet, musician and book contributor Kate Tempest debuted brand new work, while DJs included Turner Prize-winning Assemble and NTS Radio. To sate the masses, The Store Kitchen whipped a feast made from the finest seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients.
