The Chemical Brothers are back and have taken to a modernist wonderland in Paris for their latest video. Directed by Michel Gondry, this video for ‘Go’ features seven lederhosen-clad dancers marching through the city’s Front-de-Seine area, famed for its Brutalist architecture.
This part of Paris, found by the river Seine and close to the Eiffel Tower, has one of the highest concentrations of towers in the city. Many were constructed in the 1970s under plans, conceived by architects Raymond Lopez and Henri Pottier, to regenerate the former industrial area. The eclectic mix of shapes, colours and textures in the surrounding architecture are now setting the stage for The Chemical Brothers’ electronic sound.
