Stained glass and soaring 9-ft-high ceilings are just two of the dramatic highlights inside Los Angeles’ Paxson House – designed by Buff & Hensman.

The three-bedroom post and beam property was built in 1968 for theatre Professor Omar Paxson. The Eagle Rock home in near mint condition, complete with original fireplace, custom Conrad Buff-designed fixtures, cabinetry and stained glass by Judson Studios.

It is now listed via Haynes Group Real Estate for $1.025m – a price tag that reflects the fact it will need some modernising.

But there’s plenty to inspire including floor-to-ceiling glass that provides views across the surrounding treetops.
