It’s out with the old, in with the new for Tomas Maier. A month after leaving his post as creative director of Bottega Veneta, the fashion designer has put his sprawling Montauk home on the market for $21m.

Architect Robert Young designed the boxy, timber-clad home – on the market via Michael Schultz of the Corcoran Group – in 2016 on a one-acre beachfront plot.

Its minimalist interiors unfurl over 3,000 sq ft and rooms feature pale wooden floors and white walls. Glass sliding doors access the four-bedroom property’s wraparound deck, which adds 2,000 sq ft of outdoor living space, including a 55-ft gunite swimming pool.

Bedrooms are set over the upper floor, with shared living spaces beneath. Its chef-grade kitchen has poured concrete countertops and looks out over the dining room, and the Atlantic Ocean beyond.

LaGuardia Design sculpted the property’s landscaped grounds, which overlook reserves originally designed by Central Park landscape architect Fredrick Law Olmsted.
